Maybelline coloroma nail paint in GABRIELE

Hey everyone!

During my recent shopping, i got my first red nail paint from Maybelline Coloroma - GABRIELE . I do not own a single blood red shade and often lean more towards pinks and peaches. Read on to know if this has become my favorite red nail paint or not.

What Maybelline says:

       Why You’ll Love It
  • High-gloss nail color with 5 day wear!
  • Combine a visually stunning palette of pigments, pearls and glitters
  • It’s the ultimate accessory that transforms your look from day to night, fun to funky and classic to daring…in a flash!
My experience with it: This is a cream finish and has no glitter in it. I love the shade and the way it instantly brightens up my hands. One coat gives a sheer finish and two coats give a decent opaque coverage. I have worn two coats in the pictures.

I love the quality of the brush, which gives an even coating of the polish and a non streaky finish. The first coat dries off within two minutes, but the second coat takes a while to dry. And one needs to be careful enough after applying the second coat to avoid any impressions on the nails, and i often end up with either finger prints or fabric impressions.

The only thing that i hate about this nail paint is that it chips off within a day on my nails! I tend to wash my hands quite frequently and also do some household chores and this nail paint failed to survive through those! In fact i noticed that the first chipping happens when i have bath the next day :( (i usually apply nailpaints before hitting the bed), which is pretty fast.

Price: The price has been increased from Rs.80 to Rs.100 for 8ml.

The good:
1. Gives a glossy and smooth finish.
2. Does not give a streaky finish.
3. Instantly brightens my hands.
4. Affordable price.
5. Good quality brush.
6. Has some good variety of shades to choose from.

The not so good:
1. The second coat takes a while to dry.
2. Chips within a day.

Final word: This is a decent nail paint to start with and quite affordable too. If you can put up with the chipping or if you can avoid the frequent hand washes, then go ahead and give it a try. I would rate this 3/5.
I personally will not repurchase this shade, but will look for the exact shade in some other brand.
Suggestions are welcome!

Have a nice day!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey

Hey everyone!

After having tried the balm stain and the lip butter from Revlon, i can very well say that i have started loving the brand and would like to try more products.
Today i am going to review the newly launched and the much loved  Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 001 Honey!

I have been carrying it with me for the past 2 weeks and hence the inscription on the tube is almost gone!

What Revlon says: It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. The gel formula comes in 12 vibrant shades that match any look or mood.

The website shows 11 shades and i am not sure if all of them have been launched in India. I saw 10 of them at the stores here in Chennai.

My experience: I was so desperate to try them ever since they were launched in India as they were the very similar to the Clinique chubby sticks which costs double this one's price. But i spotted them in shops only 2 weeks after getting launched. I wanted to play safe, so picked up this lightest shade. But to my surprise, it is build-able and on swiping it 6-7 times, i got a deep shade on my lips indeed. The packaging is so cute and i love the twist up jumbo stick.

It goes on smooth on lips and i experienced no tugging. The pointed tip is really convenient to apply, especially easy to access the corners of my lips.

On application, it appears to be very light at first, but after a while it turns to a beautiful colored stain on the lips.

I reapplied quite heavily to get an idea of the actual color and pigmentation. It covers any pigmentation and gives a good tint despite being a light shade. Actually it gives an almost natural look to my lips. Check the pictures. This is exactly how i would want my lips to be!

It did not dry my lips, that might probably be because i had already prepped my lips with a balm, a while before applying the stain. The color/stain was on my lips for about 5 to 6 hours despite having an oily snack in the evening. One thing i was not very comfortable with was the way it faded. It was almost gone at the center on my lips (vertically) and was fully  stained towards the outer lips, like i had applied some thick liner on my lips. I also love the slight minty cool sensation it gives on application, just like my blistex lip balm. It gives a glossy look to the lips, which i love. Here is a picture with flash, to show the actual color.

Price: Rs.600 for 2.7 gms.

The good:
1. Hides the pigmentation on my lips.
2. Super cute packaging.
3. Does not dry the lips.
4. Gives a glossy finish.
5. Minty and cool sensation on applying.
6. The color stays on for upto 6 hours.
7. Has a variety of shades to choose from.

The not so good:
1. The only point that i could think of is, the lips need to be prepped (scrubbed and well moisturized) before applying this balm.

Final word: I love this balm to bits and planning to get some really bright shades soon. And i recommend this to everyone!
I would rate this 4.7/5.

Have a nice day!

Hi everyone!

As promised here I am with my chocolate pictures. It took me about 15 minutes to take everything out from the refrigerator and arrange them! And i had a tough time in finding space for them in the fridge last night!
Here you go!

Occupied the whole of my bed!

My dad and bro are crazy about this one! It is Nestle's After eight - A chocolate and mint combination.

Kirkland Almond chocolate (almond inside and chocolate outside) and TWIX - I looooooooove TWIX. I would even die for it!

Hershey's Mik chocolate with almond bar! One of the most famous chocolates of all time in the USA.

Hershey's Nuggets! Another one about which am CRAZY. Actually i ate so many of these yesterday that i have not touched a single chocolate since this morning! I was mostly gorging on the "Extra creamy milk chocolate with toffee & almonds" and "Special dark chocolate".

Hershey's KISSES - Almond. Tell me one person who is not in love with these cute mountain shapes delights!

Hershey's KISSES - Milk chocolate.

That is all left from the first kisses milk chocolate packet. Nooooooooooo i dint eat all of them. I was busy eating Nuggets, dad had taken it to his office for distribution :)

So that is my chocolate haul!
Hope you liked it!

Have a nice day!

Just arrived from Las Vegas!

Hey everyone!
I have got a haul to share with you guys! Yes! a haul from the USA. My dad just flew down from Las Vegas and got loads of stuff. Here is the collective picture.

And yes that is a Nikon 3100 (DSLR) that you see at the top left corner! Here are some close up shots!

And finally some pictures from Nikon 3100.

All the tiny beads that you see are FOR ME! Am gonna make a ton of bracelets, earrings and necklaces!

My new Canon powershot A2300 HD clicked from Nikon 3100. And the answer to your question about this camera is - this is mine and the DSLR is for my bro. He was crazy about it for months and he finally has it!
I can hear you screaming "where are your makeup stuff from USA?" Unfortunately my dad was able to pick up only 2 makeup products! Actually just one - Revlon lip butter in Pink Truffle! And the other one is a Garnier Fructis pure clean clarifying shampoo.

Another post will be up tomorrow exclusively for chocolates! I did not have space to include chocolates in this post! Please go ahead and imagine how many chocolates my dad would have got!

Hope you drooled over this fun post!

Have a nice day everyone!

My favourite hobby revived!

Hi everyone!
Today I am going to share with you my most favourite and loved hobby. I discovered that i had passion for art and craft works during my early college days. Those days i had lot of time to learn and experiment various methods and techniques. And had to forget my favourite pass time ever since i started working.
Today while watching TV i saw a demo and at that instant i knew something inside me was revived!
Yes i immediately found my master pieces, discontinued long back and decided to finish it.
Here is what i was rambling about - GLASS PAINTING.

A closer look.

I am doing a crystal glass painting. Here is a completed portion.

And this is how much i tried completing today.

Please let me know, through the comments section, if you would like a step by step tutorial on how to do a crystal glass painting.

Have a nice day!
